hey there!
By now, you can probably guess what my name is. Yup, right up there on the left corner!
I’m a web designer/developer based in Portugal. After finishing a course in New Communication Technologies, at the University of Aveiro, I’m taking a Masters in Multimedia Communication, at the same university. I’ve built this site mainly so I could share my best work with the rest of the world, but also as a way to discuss (through the blog, of course) a whole wide range of stuff about web design and development.
I’m just starting my career, and currently do some freelance work to support my studies. I’m currently working jointly with SAPO on a project endorsed by the labs.sapo initiative. That project will go on to be the main theme in my final thesis. Eventually, I’ll get there.
I guess people who normally work with me think of me as somewhat of a standardista, since I always strive to write beautiful, standards-compliant XHTML and CSS. I guess I can thank the fabulous CSS Zen Garden for that. When I learned about that project, I always knew there would be no turning back. I also have a knack for PHP, Javascript and AJAX, and sometimes I even like to murk around with Ruby on Rails. Oh, and I guess i’m pretty good at Adobe Flash as well, particularly Actionscript 3. My main competence in the graphics field lies in Adobe Photoshop, since it’s my cornerstone mock-up tool and where all the magic begins.
