I just found out that registry has opened for SAPO Codebits 2008! This will be this event’s second edition, and it consists of three whole days of pure programming and web development heaven, happening November 13 to 15. Oh yeah, and last year there was pizza. Lots of pizza. Register now, and don’t forget to spread the word! Me? I am so there.

February 2008 – April 2008
Motivations
cetac.media, an organization dedicated to the study of Communication Technologies, needed a website redesign, but more important, an overall shift in the direction of their web strategy. They wanted a more open platform, where every member could share resources, communicate and divulge their published works. The site needed to be fresh and current, while still making usability and functionality a top priority. (…) more after the jump ›
Illustrator madness
Published 3 years ago, in BlogSo yeah, I’m finally trying to learn some Adobe Illustrator. I swear, it has soooo many options, most of them a mystery to me! But seeing a friend show off his mad Illustrator skills today made me rethink my position. So, I followed this tutorial from VECTORTUTS, and here’s the final result:

The Bluespots Card Generator project was an interesting one. The application was to be designed using the Bluespots API, in development stage at the time, which allowed for Bluetooth communication between mobile devices and Bluetooth enabled Hubs (the Bluespots, which in turn communicated with a central server where all the data was stored). Hello there!
Published 3 years ago, in BlogHello dear reader, whoever you are! Sound the trumpets, it’s finally open! After quite some time in development (more than I had hoped to, honestly), my Portfolio is ready to get out there and impress.
But where are my manners, I must introduce myself! My name is Bruno Abrantes, and I’m a Web Designer / Developer based in Portugal. But you can find out about all that and more at the about page. If you feel an urge to get in touch with me, by all means do so at the contacts page.
The Blog section of the website will be more up-close and personal, and I’ll use it without shame to talk about random stuff. As for the Works section, you guessed right, it’s a showcase of all my latest and greatest work. Oh, and I’ll get to updating that section in the next few days, I hope.
That’s it for now, I hope you come back! Oh, by the way, the RSS feed link is on the bottom right, just in case you missed it :).
